ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
The College of New Jersey Cheerleading Team is comprised of a talented group of athletes who dedicate their time in support of the College and its varsity sports teams. The team cheers for all home football games, as well as all home men's and women's basketball games. The team also competes annually at the Universal Cheerleaders Association's National College Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida. The team competes in the Open All-Girl Division.
Being a member of TCNJ's Cheerleading Team is a big commitment, but it is also an extremely rewarding experience. The team participates in community service events, interacts with the community, and represents TCNJ in many different ways throughout the season.
The team attends a mandatory four-day camp in August to prepare for the start of the season. Regularly scheduled practices begin at the start of the Fall Semester. Practices are typically four times per week which include tumbling and weight-lifting. Additional practices are added during winter break to aid in preparation for UCA College Nationals. The season concludes in mid-March at the end of basketball season.
